Find help around you

Use your location only when you choose.

One Door can use your browser location to create nearby search links for food, shelter, clothing, thrift stores, job centers, legal aid, health care, libraries, and community services. Precise coordinates stay in this page's memory and are never saved to localStorage or sent to a One Door server.

Your search area

Choose browser location or enter a city, state, or ZIP code. Either method is optional.

No location selected. Official national locators still work without sharing your location here.
Location privacy: One Door does not request location on page load. Browser coordinates are held only in memory for this tab and are not included in your saved plan. Clearing or closing the page removes them.

Nearby doorways

Call or check the provider before traveling. Hours, eligibility, stock, beds, meals, transportation and intake rules can change.

NAIB adult resource mentor

Meet Hope.

Hope is the named homelessness and stability mentor for this doorway. She can help turn a complicated situation into a short sequence: what must happen today, which resource to call first, what to ask, what documents to gather, what backup plan to keep, and what can wait until later.

Original Verve N Veda architecture

Tools for rebuilding stability

These original browser-based applications support resource navigation, work, writing, task follow-through, budgeting, health literacy, document protection, family support, and reflection.

Verified public & nonprofit assistance

National gateways that lead back to local help.

Government and nonprofit locators can connect a person to nearby shelter, food, clothing, health care, employment, legal aid and community support. Availability, eligibility, hours and capacity can change; verify details directly with the provider.

Call-first notice: Availability and eligibility are not guaranteed. If a referral is full or unavailable, return to 211, HUD Find Shelter, your local Continuum of Care, a Community Action Agency, or Hope and ask for a backup pathway.

Grants & funding pathways

Separate personal assistance from provider funding.

Many homelessness “grants” fund governments, nonprofit organizations, housing agencies, tribes, and service providers; not direct cash payments to an individual. If you need help today, use the service locators above. If you operate a program or organization, use the funding sources below.

For an individual seeking help: Do not spend scarce time applying to a provider, only federal NOFO. Ask 211, your local Continuum of Care, Community Action Agency, or Hope which funded programs actually accept individual applications in your area.

Funding research snapshot: August 2026. Always open the source and verify the current notice, eligibility rules and deadline before acting.

Safety and service notice

A guide—not a promise of placement

This portal does not operate a shelter, dispatch emergency help, guarantee eligibility, reserve beds, determine legal rights, provide medical treatment, or create a professional relationship.

  • Call 911 for immediate danger or a life-threatening emergency.
  • Confirm intake hours, eligibility, transportation, accessibility, medication rules, family arrangements, pet policies, and identification requirements directly.
  • Do not upload or paste confidential records into an unverified service.
  • Use official sources for current benefits, legal requirements, deadlines, and program rules.

One Door standard
