Week 1 · Placement without punishment
Algebra I Readiness Diagnostic
A 36-question diagnostic covering prerequisite number sense, expressions, equations, functions, slope, units, statistics, and evidence interpretation. Results guide support by skill rather than labeling a learner.
Readiness evidence, not a grade: this Week 1 diagnostic is separate from the official Algebra I course grade. Use the category breakdown together with prior work and learner needs to select Foundation, Core, or Extended support; no single unfinished prerequisite automatically bars the learner from Algebra I.
Definitive-answer standard: every scored item has exactly one mathematically or definitionally correct option. Equivalent duplicate choices, overlapping forms, and undefined subjective criteria are excluded.
Preserve the exported result, corrections, and representative work with the learner’s portfolio. The score is browser-local readiness evidence and should be interpreted with the category breakdown rather than as an age or grade label.
