# Algebra I Records

This directory preserves learner-facing completion and transition evidence for **KH-MATH-A1**.

## Course-grade evidence

The Algebra I course-grade model remains unchanged:

- Coursework — 40%
- Midterm — 20%
- Final — 30%
- Capstone — 10%

Automatically scored objective work may contribute directly to calculated course evidence. Projects, modelling, portfolio selections, explanations, corrections, capstone evidence, or other work requiring judgment may require parent, teacher, school, or program review.

Calculated displays organize evidence; the appropriate educational authority remains responsible for an official grade, credit award, or transcript entry.

## Readiness evidence

Readiness evidence is **not the course grade**. It records which mathematical skill families appear secure enough to support the learner's next course and which prerequisite areas may benefit from Foundation support.

`readiness-evidence-template.json` provides the shared transition-record shape. The canonical mapping and routing rules live in `../readiness/transition-contract.json`.

Algebra I exports separate readiness mappings for Geometry and Algebra II. A support flag does not automatically block progression. The receiving course diagnostic confirms or adjusts routing.

## Preservation

Preserve the completion certificate, grade evidence, representative portfolio work, and readiness evidence with the learner's jurisdiction-specific educational records.
