Coordinate Street-Grid Proof & Design
How do angle relationships and coordinate methods prove direction, alignment, and perpendicularity?
Design brief
Create a geometric investigation or design that demonstrates the unit relationships in a form another learner can inspect, reproduce, and challenge.
- State the question, audience, constraints, units, and success criteria.
- Create a labeled planning sketch or construction.
- Show at least three mathematical relationships from the unit.
- Verify one result using a second method, digital tool, construction, or measurement.
- Explain assumptions, precision, limitations, and one revision.
- Submit a printable one- to three-page portfolio with source files or exports when applicable.
Evidence checklist
| Evidence | 4 · Advanced | 3 · Proficient | 2 · Developing | 1 · Beginning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Geometry | Accurate, connected, generalized | Accurate and complete | Partially accurate | Major gaps |
| Reasoning | Proof and validation are compelling | Methods are justified | Some justification | Unsupported result |
| Visual clarity | Technical, accessible, print-ready | Clear labels and units | Some unclear elements | Hard to interpret |
| Reflection | Sensitivity and revision analyzed | Limits and revision stated | Brief reflection | No meaningful reflection |
