Force–Time Pulse Studio

Compare force–time graph area, average force and modeled peak for specified constant and triangular force pulses.

Scientific scope and safety

A prescribed net impulse is the signed force–time area. A rectangle has constant force J/Δt; a symmetric linear triangle has peak 2J/Δt and mean J/Δt. Those peaks belong ONLY to the selected assumed waveforms, never to measured real-world impacts.

2. Signed force–time diagram

Area under the signed curve equals net impulse. Numerical values and a table are provided below for nonvisual comparison.
