Fair, secure, accessible assessment.

Before assessment

  • Confirm the learner profile, pathway, and approved accommodations.
  • Choose a quiet setting and explain local-record limitations.
  • For proctored evidence, restrict notes, outside assistance, and unapproved tools as documented.
  • Print a backup or export data before clearing browser storage.

During assessment

  • Diagnostic: flexible timing, calculator optional.
  • Unit checks: 25–40 minutes.
  • Midterm: 120–150 minutes, with a planned break.
  • Final: 180 minutes or two documented sessions.
  • Record interruptions and accommodations.

After assessment

  • Require written corrections for missed questions.
  • Identify patterns by unit and skill rather than relying only on a percentage.
  • Retain the best attempt and correction evidence.
  • Use oral questions to confirm authorship when needed.

Recommended weighting
