Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the main Verve N Veda public gateway at vervenveda.com and the corresponding Verve N Veda GitHub Pages gateway. It explains the privacy behavior of this gateway itself and identifies important connected providers used on the page.

Verve N Veda links to many distinct public Halls, learning spaces, tools, archives, creative applications, and community resources. Those destinations may have additional privacy notices when their behavior differs from this gateway.

2. Data on the public gateway

The main public gateway is designed so that ordinary browsing does not require a Verve N Veda account, sign-in, or public form submission.

The gateway does not include a Verve N Veda advertising tracker or a first-party analytics form in the current page code. However, the hosting provider and embedded service providers described below may receive technical information when your browser connects to their systems.

Search terms entered into the gateway's public directory are used in the browser to filter the displayed destinations. The current gateway code does not send those directory search terms to a Verve N Veda server.

3. Browser-local storage

The gateway uses browser storage for limited local functions. Depending on the feature you use, this may include:

• the paused or playing state of the 333 Network ticker;
• a locally stored administrator-gate record;
• temporary administrator session state in sessionStorage; and
• local preferences or workspace information used by individual connected applications.

The administrator gate stores a derived local record rather than intentionally transmitting the gate code from this public page. It is a browser-local convenience gate and is not a substitute for server-side authentication for protected services.

Browser-local information normally remains on the device and browser profile where it was created until it is changed, cleared, or removed through browser controls. Private-browsing modes and browser settings can affect whether local storage is available or retained.

4. GitHub Pages hosting

The Verve N Veda public gateway is published using GitHub Pages infrastructure, including when accessed through the custom Verve N Veda domain.

GitHub states that when a GitHub Pages site is visited, the visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes, whether or not the visitor is signed into GitHub. GitHub may also process website-usage and technical information according to its own privacy practices.

5. Stripe contributions

The Verve N Veda gateway includes a Stripe-powered contribution button. The browser connects to Stripe to load the embedded payment component. If you choose to begin or complete a contribution, Stripe processes the information necessary to provide payment services and fraud prevention.

Depending on your interaction and the payment method used, Stripe may process information such as transaction details, name, email address, billing information, payment-method information, IP address, device or browser information, cookies or similar identifiers, and other information described in Stripe's privacy materials.

Verve N Veda does not receive your full card number through the public HTML page. Payment handling is performed through the connected Stripe payment service.

6. Connected applications and external links

Verve N Veda is a connected public campus. The gateway links to separate Halls and applications, including educational, research, health, civic, creative, communication, and professional tools.

Some connected applications are intentionally local-first and store voluntary workspace data in the visitor's browser. Others may connect to outside services when their purpose requires it. A connected application should be read together with any privacy notice presented by that application or service.

When you follow a link to another domain or third-party service, that destination's privacy terms govern its own collection and processing practices.

7. Children and learning spaces

Verve N Veda includes educational resources for children and families. The main public gateway is designed not to require a child to create an account or submit identifying information merely to browse its public links.

Child- or student-oriented applications that introduce accounts, connected services, family records, cloud synchronization, or other data collection should provide an appropriate notice for that feature before it is used.

Parents and guardians should review the privacy information for any connected learning application that a child uses, particularly when that application leaves the browser or connects to another provider.

8. Sale of personal information

Verve N Veda does not operate this public gateway as a data-broker or advertising-data marketplace, and it does not sell personal information collected through the gateway itself.

Independent providers such as GitHub and Stripe maintain their own privacy practices and legal obligations. Their handling of information is described in their respective privacy notices.

9. Retention and deletion

Browser-local preferences and records remain subject to the storage behavior of your browser. You can remove them by clearing site data, local storage, cookies, or other browser data for the relevant site.

Information processed by GitHub, Stripe, or another connected provider is retained according to that provider's own policies, legal obligations, and service requirements.

10. Your choices

You can control several aspects of your privacy directly:

• browse the public gateway without creating a Verve N Veda account;
• clear browser-local data through your browser settings;
• avoid the contribution feature if you do not want to interact with Stripe;
• review the privacy notice of a connected application before using features that leave the browser;
• use browser privacy, cookie, or tracking controls available on your device; and
• contact Verve N Veda about a privacy concern involving the gateway itself.

11. Security

Verve N Veda uses HTTPS-based public hosting and seeks to minimize unnecessary collection on the gateway itself. Browser-local storage is used for several lightweight functions so that those functions do not require a Verve N Veda server account.

No website, browser-storage mechanism, network connection, or third-party service can guarantee absolute security. Sensitive or protected account systems should use separate server-side authentication and security controls rather than relying on the public gateway's local Admin Gate.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Verve N Veda adds, removes, or changes connected services and applications. When the policy changes materially, the effective date at the top of this page should be updated as well.

The current version published at /privacy-policy.html is the version intended to describe the current public gateway.
