Sovereign Offline Physics Laboratory · Week 10

Work & Power Studio

Investigate signed mechanical work by one constant force and average power for a time interval.

Scientific model and safety

A constant force F acts through straight displacement d at angle θ. Work by that force is W=Fd cosθ (J); average signed mechanical power by that force is W/Δt (W). This is not automatically net work when other forces also act.

1. Predict and calculate

2. Visual explanation

Force and displacement vectors are schematic, not to force/distance scale.

3. Model graph and numerical comparisons

Calculated comparisons, not measured observations

5. Seven-round science game

Answer seven nonrepeating, randomly selected numerical questions from an eleven-scenario bank. Use feedback to correct mistakes and start a new selection.
