Energy Efficiency Design Lab

Compare useful output, other transfers and simultaneous design criteria using exact energy budgets.

Model rules and safety

Efficiency = useful output energy / energy input (0–100%) in an ideal no-stored-energy-change accounting model. E_input=E_useful+E_other and each average power uses the same elapsed time. An actual device could have changing stored energy and other unmodeled flows.

2. Energy accounting diagram

Diagram uses the same joule-scale and includes numerical labels for nonvisual comparisons.

3. Interactive comparison graph

4. Engineering notebook

Design brief: Supply no more than 500 J input, at least 300 J useful output, and complete within 6 s. The result panel reports whether all constraints are met together. Consider a real-world requirement beyond this simplified energy-only model.
